Currently serves as the Vice President of Henan University of Science and Technology and Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Head of the Provincial and Ministerial Joint Collaborative Innovation Center for Non-ferrous Metal New Materials and Advanced Processing Technology, and Leader of the Materials Science and Engineering Discipline.
Vice Chairman of the Copper Alloy Processing Academic Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, Vice Chairman of the Rare Metal Materials Professional Committee of the China Nonferrous Metals Society, Standing Committee Member of the Heat Treatment Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, Chairman of the Henan Nonferrous Metals Society, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journals Nanotechnology Reviews and Special Casting and Non-ferrous Alloys.
He has long been engaged in the basic theoretical research and technological development of high-performance copper alloys and advanced preparation and processing technologies.
He has won 2 National Science and Technology Progress Second Prizes and 3 provincial and ministerial first prizes. Among them, the project "Development and Application of Key Preparation and Processing Technologies for High-Strength and High-Conductivity Copper Alloys" he presided over won the 2017 National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize; he has undertaken 21 national and provincial projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, and the Henan Provincial Innovation Leading Project. He has published 128 SCI/EI papers; published 6 books; and authorized 32 invention patents.
